INFORMATION:


  • 900 gallons is minimum size tank permitted for residential use.


  • More frequent pumping is recommended for:
    • Garbage disposals
    • Higher volume of solids


  • How to determine frequency of pumping:
    • Follow recommended chart.
    • Scum/sludge level is more than 1-2 inches
    • Exposure to flooded conditions
    • Condition of sale of a house/business


  • Warning signals of a problem:
    • Flushing becomes sluggish
    • Sewage backup
    • Sewage odors (inside or outside)
    • Gurgling sound in pipes
    • Ground feels unusally soggy
    • Low spots appear in yard
